Les has spent the majority of his career in industrial manufacturing. Serving as a shareholder and CEO for several industrial companies, he has led transactions for international startups and North American acquisitions and divestitures in the casting, forging, and finishing sectors of industry.

The success of these transactions inspired Les to found Alliance Group, Inc. The Alliance Group does not rely on institutional investments. The company's focus is to serve the markets that are typically ignored by the large private equity investment groups.

Additionally, Les and his team at Alliance Group use their marketing experience to provide larger transactions with brokerage services through their vast network of investors.
 
Les serves as a director of Alliance Medical Solutions, Inc; Empower Benefits; Discernity; Franco’s Cocktail Mixes; and Die Cast Holdings, Inc.

Julie Burns received a BA in Accounting from Michigan State University in 1995. She is a certified public accountant with experience in many industries, including but not limited to professional services, small manufacturing, and mergers and acquisitions.  

Julie has been associated with Alliance Group’s companies since 1999. She is based in Alliance Group’s headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI and serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. 

Julie oversees all of the investment portfolios and focuses both on the sell-side and buy-side sectors of Alliance Group’s transactions.

Ellen Powell joins the Alliance Group team as managing director in Raleigh, North Carolina. Ellen graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in English.

Ellen is President and CEO of E. Powell Sales & Marketing, Inc., a company that provides marketing services to Alliance Group and its portfolio companies. 

Ellen oversees Alliance Group’s marketing projects and assists their portfolio companies in the areas of marketing and sales.

Prior to joining Alliance Group, Mike worked for three years in New York as an institutional listed equity trader with Deutsche Bank, where he traded institutional, derivative, program, retail and broker-dealer orders for the consumer retail sector. 

Previously, he completed internships with the Chicago Board of Trade and Jefferies and Company while earning his B.A. in Finance and Business from the University of Notre Dame.

Mike serves as a director of Alliance Medical Solutions, Inc; Empower Benefits; Discernity; and Franco’s Cocktail Mixes.

After receiving his B.S. degree in Accounting from Syracuse University, Ed began working at Ernst and Ernst, one of the country’s largest accounting firms.  Ed has since become a veteran entrepreneur with a broad history of business experience. 

He has focused much of his career in real estate contracting and development nationwide.
Ed has since found success by diversifying his holdings in automobile dealerships, bank startups, and other business ventures.

Since 1995, Ed has been the President of Grove Financial Corporation, an asset-based lending company in Boca Raton, Florida. 

Ed serves as a director of Franco’s Cocktail Mixes.
